The Need
LittPark’s founder Karen Malone is the lead trainer for a global sustainability practitioner certification and GRI Standards certification. Having trained 400+ executives in 25+ sectors, Karen has learned that it’s not enough for professionals to simply obtain knowledge on ESG — rather, they must be able to implement a program that can attract participation and be integrated across business functions.
The Outcome
In determining what process could maximize the value creation of ESG programs, Karen collaborated with sustainability strategist Rebecca Black to create dESiGning ESG, a 6-week learning journey that leverages proven principles in design thinking. This collaborative online experience develops in participants an understanding of how fundamental human needs and behaviours underpin the change that they are seeking to bring about. Delivered in six weekly modules, the course includes case studies, class exercises, and guest speakers, all centred on a model of real-time, inquiry-based learning.
